Hitting the Hotspots #2: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

There’s no “bah-humbug” here at Broadway Crew - the holiday season is our busiest time of the year and we always make sure to take advantage of all the greatest festivities in and around Times Square to promote our shows and brand partnerships!

We kick things off with the Thanksgiving Parade, one of the most tourist-heavy events of the year. This go-round, we were lucky to represent some of the hottest new musicals taking Broadway by storm this season, which made for fantastic conversations with patrons of all demographics looking for some holiday cheer. This event is usually the most theater-centric for us, making use of patrons’ adorations for Broadway classics and performances from some of the biggest contenders to take the stage inspiring plenty of ticket sales.

We love to collaborate with specific clients who we know will do well with some extra visibility for the season. Whether it be a fresh Broadway hit that leaves audiences with warm hearts and smiles on their faces or a helpful brand that ensures you have all the groceries you need to cook up your family feast. We map out some of the greatest places to introduce these shows and brands to patrons who we know would benefit from them the most, usually hitting up hotspots like the Bryant Park Winter Village and Columbus Circle Holiday Market. These places in particular really give us some leverage with spirited locals and eager tourists to advocate for events we know they’ll love! We always make sure to spread the joy and direct patrons to what is sure to be their new favorite song and dance heading into the holiday homestretch.

But one of our favorite partnerships is nestled right in the heart of Duffy Square at the Wishing Wall. Here, passersby stop to write down their New Year's wishes and resolutions on colorful pieces of confetti that are set to rain down on Times Square as soon as the ball drops. This heartwarming activation has brought both our Crew and attendees memories to last a lifetime, getting to know patrons on a deeper level and showcasing just how brilliant our team is at connecting with folks during the most wonderful time of the year. This continues right up until New Year’s, so if you’re reading this in time, be sure to stop by the Wishing Wall to say ‘hi’ and do some wish-making for 2023!

Oh! Did we mention that our Crew also crushes it right up until the 365th day of the year? That’s right! We usually have 30+ Crew members working Times Square during the Ball Drop! Whether it be escorting VIPs to their special spots, checking in attendees or assisting with the absolute chaotic goodness of NYC’s signature celebration, Broadway Crew is there with smiles on our faces.

We can’t wait for all the exciting newness of 2023, and we hope you’ll follow along! Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year from all of us here at Broadway Crew!
