The Journey to a
Better Broadway
When Sam Clark, founder and CEO of Broadway Crew, moved from Australia to New York in 2012, he began his new life by working in promotions for major Broadway shows. He was excited to immerse himself in the thriving culture and passion of the city, but instead got a first-hand look at the treatment street teams and flyering staff had to endure daily: low wages, no support, and no credit for driving massive revenue to the industry. They were overworked and undervalued, and he was over it.
He knew there must be a better way. Artists should no longer be limited by staffing agencies that suppress their creativity and career growth. So, in 2018, Sam created Broadway Crew to elevate the art of in-person promotion, while also providing artists with parallel career paths that offer livable wages and more opportunities that complement their artistic endeavors. This approach quickly transformed the industry, compelling other event staffing agencies to follow in Broadway Crew’s footsteps. With a safe work environment and convenient access to Broadway and theater, Broadway Crew strives to constantly enrich and reflect the lives of artists, and ensure that promotional staff have the tools and training they need to succeed.

Jaelyn
Hailing from Canton, Minnesota, Jaelyn moved to NYC to solidify her professional career as a stage actor. Working at Broadway Crew and being adjacent to so many exhilarating musicals and plays has been a shining reminder of her own ambitions to “keep going and growing” as a performer: doing workshops, taking classes, and performing at all the local hotspots.
Gabriella
Gabriella is a Brazilian-American actor from Raleigh, NC. Recent credits include Spider-Man: No Way Home (Marvel), Will Trent (ABC), Reboot (Hulu), and Swagger (Apple TV). Her favorite part of working at TKTS is seeing people’s faces light up when they get excited about one of our shows!
Pawel
Pawel is an actor and comedian born and raised in Queens, New York. He joined Broadway Crew in April 2022 and has become one of our most valuable teammates! You can often catch him managing our team over at the Times Square TKTS booth!
