Top 9 Places To Promote Your Brand in NYC

New York is one massive city with millions of visitors every year. This means lots and lots of marketing opportunities for your brand, show, or event. Whether we are passing out flyers, staffing your event, playing music, handing out swag, or any combination of these, visibility is key. With the right marketing initiatives, you will be top of mind to your customers. And that is exactly what we want!

So here are the best places to promote anything in New York City!

  1. Number one is always going to be Times Square. Even as New York comes out of the pandemic, Times Square is seeing over 100K visitors. Pre-pandemic it was 400,000. Per day. As Summer approaches (and as more vaccinations are administered), that number will continue to grow. You will almost always get the most bang for your buck in Times Square. (Broadway Crew HQ is located right on 48th Street, so this is our backyard)

  2. Union Square is a pretty phenomenal place if you are looking to engage with true New Yorkers. Thanks to a fairly massive subway station and lots of foot traffic, you can reach NYU students and adults with disposable incomes all in one location. Pair this with lots of shopping, eateries, and the famous farmer’s market and you have yourself the perfect place for a street team.

  3. Another great place to catch tourists and locals alike is Battery Park. The traffic is there but the rush is not. This means that your street team will allow for more genuine conversations - giving a tourist a recommendation on a new exhibit, telling a family about a fun magic show to see. There is so much potential.

  4. With the Vessel being one of New York’s go-to Instagrammable moments, Hudson Yards is hard to ignore. With lots and lots of tourists wanting to see The Vessel, The Edge, or the Highline, this location is great for brand ambassadors for anyone!

  5. Penn Station and Port Authority. We’re doubling these up because they are basically the same place, just on different streets. Both see significant rush hour traffic. Having a flyer distribution in place early in the morning, or on the commute back home, helps share your brand with patrons from the city, surrounding boroughs, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Long Island. Crucial markets and an excellent location to target!

  6. Street Fairs! The quintessential street fair means you have to walk through it to grab an empanada, meat on a stick, or street corn. You just have to; I don't make the rules! With so much to offer already, a street team passing out free swags is a great way to interact with patrons. Anything from useful items like fans and chapsticks to novelty items like handkerchiefs and wristbands. All branded, of course!

  7. Next up: The Oculus! Located right next to the 9/11 Memorial and Brookfield Place, this unique piece of New York architecture offers a great photo opp while also doubling as one of the larger transit centers.

  8. Rockefeller Center is a must during the holiday season! From the iconic annual Christmas Tree Lighting to the line wrapped around FAO Schwarz, there’s plenty of tourists popping in and out of stores and snagging pics!

  9. This last one is obviously seasonal but very lucrative: Holiday Markets! From Bryant Park to Columbus Circle, holiday markets are a burst of energy for staffing initiatives. It’s a great way to engage with families, tourists, and locals wanting to bring a bit of New York back home for the holidays. Whether you want to flyer a market, or set up a booth, this is a must in November and December.
