What makes us tick.

Our Staff

Our staff are what makes our company a success. We are first and foremost proud of our incredible staff, most of whom are working artists who bring their own special creative skills to Broadway Crew. We have built a supportive community; we are almost like a family. We encourage our employees’ personal and professional development through programs like BC Sessions (bi-weekly masterclasses on skills within the arts taught by Broadway Crew staff members and outside artists) and access to industry events. Additionally, we make sure that our staff get tickets to our clients’ shows so that they can more accurately talk about the shows to potential patrons. This is incredibly beneficial to both our staff --- who love to see our clients’ shows --- and our clients, because a staff who has seen the show is able to more accurately target their sales pitches to potential customers.

We believe that a company is only as strong as its staff, and we are proud to say our staff is very strong indeed. Even during the on-going quarantine and coronavirus-related shutdown of Broadway, our staff is still engaged with Broadway Crew, and we are continuing to host social events and professional development opportunities for our employees. We are proud to boast an incredibly committed employee base and we offer plenty of possibilities for employee development and advancement.

Our Sales-First Approach to Street Team Marketing

We are one of the only front-line Broadway sales teams, at Broadway’s only storefront. Because of this, we are uniquely positioned to be a touch point in the sales funnel that supports all other marketing channels. We take an innovative and millennial approach to street team marketing, and we’re constantly evaluating our own practices to find ways to improve what we do. Even before COVID-19, Broadway was a fast changing industry, with new trends coming and going very quickly. It is our job to stay on-top of what those trends are and decide how best to engage with them. We are proud that we’ve been able to use our skills to increase sales numbers for our clients time and time again. Through our years of industry experience, we have developed proprietary sales tactics and techniques that we use to get the best results for our clients.

We Are Data-Driven

We are a data-driven company. This means that we are always looking for new ways to source relevant and important data for our clients about their audiences. We function as a direct conduit between the producers and the audiences, because we have the advantage of speaking to both groups daily. We are constantly re-assessing and adjusting our sales tactics to make sure that we are working efficiently and providing great value to all of our clients. Our clients also receive detailed reporting for every job that we work for them, which includes daily highlights straight from customers themselves. We believe that sales should not be a nebulous thing where we are never sure if or why a certain tactic works. We ground everything we do in measurable data and have professionalized the street team industry.

Connection

Finally, one of our greatest assets as a company is our connection to both our clients and our customers. We are the front-line of Broadway, and as such, we have our ears to the ground on all new developments. In our role as a sales team at Broadway’s only storefront, we speak to both patrons and our clients on a daily basis, which means that we are able to regularly report back to our clients what is and is not working. This allows us to quickly readjust and refocus our sales tactics when necessary while also clarifying for the client what the strongest selling points of their show/product are and how other forms of marketing have worked on the customer.

Word of mouth is the number one driver of sales in the Broadway industry, and we drive word of mouth sales through individualized conversations with customers. We are able to take our time and build a rapport with patrons. Using this connection, we are able to give personalized recommendations to the patrons that they actually listen to. We close the vitally important last few feet of the sale.

In these difficult times, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our staff, and offer our best wishes to everyone out there struggling with the effects of COVID-19. We’re all in this together and we can’t wait for Broadway to come back!
